Thoughts from the Audio Product Jam in Helsinki

On April 16th, we held the first audio product management meetup in Helsinki. Here is a short report from the event

What is the Audio Product Jam?

It is a meetup for people who are interested in the audio business: founders, product leaeders and desigers, marketers and engineeers. Both for established pros and students who are still making their way into the industry: pro audio, music production, game and movies and consumer audio as well. After two successful events in Berlin in 2025, I was asked many times when we are going to organise the events in other cities. At the end of year, we met with Andrew Cresswell from ICEpower Audio who lives in Helsinki and decided to organize one. We reached out to colleagues in the local company – oeksound who agreed to host the event and pulled in friends from another Helsinki brand, NeuralDSP. With such a team, we headed for success.

What have we learned

We listened to three interesting presentations. Firstly, Henri Penttinen, Program Manager at NeuralDSP, shared the case study of Quad Cortex plugins. Later Aleksi Taipale, Product Lead at oeksound talked about the oeksound’s approach in UX research. Finally, Andrew Cresswell, who is the Head of Sales at ICEpower Audio, shared insights into building B2B partnerships in audio.

After the presentations we had a great networking event with pizza and beer. Since the situation in the market is tough, we had a special pool of tickets for students so they can also builld their industry connections. After that, we move to the near by bar to continue the party. I had many interesting conversations about the culture, technology and managing audio business. I learned that Finns and Poles very much alike 😀

Thank you to the sponsors ICEpower Audio, NeuralDSP and oeksound.

What’s next?

We had many questions about the next event so we will soon get together to discuss the schedule.

Currently, we are preparing the Stockholm Audio Product Jam #1, which we will hold in the HQ of XLN Audio on the 3rd of September and need to plan #3 in Berlin, where it all started.

Stay tuned!
